October 1st - The Diocese of Los Angeles directors of Seeds of Hope will be meeting with us to help us best grow into this new ministry of health and well-being for the poor, the land, and all of us.  We are one of 15 parishes that is part of a grant from L.A. County to develop Seeds of Hope ministries.  Part of what we will be initiating is a Health Committee and a team to look at the farm-ability of our property, e.g. community garden.  We will also have nutrition classes offered for the greater community and for parishioners, in English and Spanish.  Pick up your free "Wholeness" Cook Book this Sunday with guides for healthier cooking and eating.

October 4th - Blessing of the Animals at  St. Paul's - 11 a.m. in the church.  Invite all the pets you can...their owners are welcome, too!

Then on October 19th, we will have ONE Sunday Mass at 11 a.m., called Mass on the Grass, in Lincoln Park.

That's probably enough for now!

Blessings,
