I hope and pray that each of you has a blessed Thanksgiving weekend. I give thanks for each of you because every one of you is a unique gift and expression of God for this parish, and for me.
Sunday is the First Sunday of Advent. We will be using the beautiful Sarum Blue vestment set for Advent, and we will have the Advent Wreath central to our worship space and light the first candle of Advent.
Each Sunday morning of Advent, I will be hosting a non-structured Q & A time in the Sophia Room from 9:17am to 9:50am. Called "Back to Basics," we will discuss basic church stuff such as what the Anglican Communion and Episcopal Church is; what are sacraments; what's our belief about the eucharist; what do certain things mean in the church, or anything that you have a question about or would like to know more about. You bring the questions and I will hopefully have some answers. This is primarily to help newer people to the Episcopal Church but is really for all of us, because we all know some things, but we don't all know everything. Come for the knowledge and the fun!
Blessings to you this Advent Season as we await the coming of our Beloved Savior,
