A very special weekend! (10/31-11/2)

Hi St. Paul's family!

This coming weekend is a special one in the Episcopal Church as we celebrate the great Feast of All Saints.  We remember all of those special and holy people who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, especially those who touched our own lives and made a difference.

Here's the weekend schedule:

Annual Trunks and Treats in the Church parking lot! From 5-7pm, children from the area visit our open car trunks that we've decorated with Halloween themes and filled with goodies. You are invited to bring your car, park it head-in, and join the fun. We need more guys this year for additional safety for children.

The Pomona Public Library, with help from the Lions Club and Anne Henderson, will be hosting a "Build Your Own Day of the Dead Altar" inside our church.  There will also be a display of ancient Aztec Codexes in the Parish Hall. Come around 10am on Saturday if you would like to participate.

  • BILINGUAL MASS at 11 a.m (no 8am or 12pm mass)
During the service, we read the names of our beloved dead, so if you have not yet signed up the names you would like read, please email us at stpaulspomona@yahoo.com.
  • Day of the Dead altar at the Columbarium (Lady Chapel)
Bring photos and symbols of your deceased loved ones to place on that altar.  You may want to bring flowers (preferable marigolds) to place on that altar, and dried sage for incense if you have it.
  • Parish Potluck (after mass). Currently we still need:
    Main Dishes (3 slots)
    Ice (1 slot)
To sign up, call Dorothy at 909.622.2015

Thanks and blessings and prayers for all of your beloved deceased.

Fr. Mark+

PS Remember to turn your clocks BACK 1 hour before you go to bed Saturday night!!
